Google has reportedly spent $ 100 million U.S. dollars to expand its headquarters in Mountain View, California, USA. This expansion is urgent because of the rapid evolution of the business of the company’s largest search engine. What makes the space requirements for employees in all business units increased significantly.
According to the Contra Costa Times, Google has purchased an area of 240,000 square meters, located not far from Google’s headquarters today. In this area there are several office buildings known as The Landmark at Shoreline. Google spokesman confirmed the purchase but declined to mention the purchase price.
“We continue to recruit new employees, so you need space for new employees is very important,” said David Radcliffe, Google’s vice president for real estate and business services. “The reference location is very strategic position due to contact with our office and we will connect to our campus,” said David.
Local newspapers said the building in the area of Mountain View can accommodate approximately 960 employees. However, a Google spokesman once again declined to say how many employees work there.
